Emily Wong-Swartz, bariatric program coordinator for the Cleveland Clinic’s Bariatric Institute in Florida, has been appointed chair of the Support Committee of the American Society for Bariatric Surgery until July 2009.

Wong-Swartz earned her bachelor’s and graduate degrees at McGill University in Canada before completing her Master of Science in Health Service Administration at Barry University in Florida. A registered dietitian with certification in adult weight management, she is a licensed health care risk manager and holds a certificate of completion of the National Support Group Leader Training provided by Bariatric Support Centers International.
